1st Annual Brewery Bowl Off with 7 Local Florida Breweries

So are you ready to have the most fun and entertaining night of your life?!?! Ok, that may be a little over the top, but we can guarantee the fun and entertaining part!

Bring your “A” game for the 1st Annual Brewery Bowl Off at Manor Lanes (1517 NE 26th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305). On Tuesday, August 25th, some of your favorite Florida breweries will compete against one another to see who is the best bowling brewery. They will keep the trophy to prove it!

Come join Funky Buddha Brewery, Due South Brewing, SaltWater Brewery, Barrel of Monks Brewing, Wynwood Brewing, Holy Mackerel, and Cigar City Brewing for this epic night of bowling and beer.

Each brewery will bring representatives to form a team; all guests that come out to join will be paired with one of these breweries and will get to hang, talk beer, get shwag, and help them win the trophy! The trophy will be displayed at the winning breweries tap room and will give them bragging rights. The competition will be two games and the team that has the most combined pins from both games will be the winner!

It will only costs $9 for both games including shoes; now that’s a deal!

Each brewery will feature some of their amazing beers at the bar and on special for the night for anyone that comes out to join this great event. Not a bowler? That’s ok, still come out and watch all of this go down and be a part of history. Careful man, there’s a beverage here!

The Original Fat Cats Officially Joins the DLAL Movement

The Original Fat Cats, one of Fort Lauderdale’s classic beer bars, has been a long supporter of craft beers and Florida’s beer scene. They officially join the Drink Like A Local Movement with a Local Tap Takeover this Friday.

Fat Cat’s released the following statement, “Clear your schedules for the “Florida Honor Roll” event this Friday and come have great beers from brewers around the state. Green Bench Brewing Co. Funky Buddha Brewery, Cigar City, Engine 15 Brewing Company, Wynwood Brewing Company, Due South Brewing, and many more will be here to serve some of their amazing brews. We hope to see you at our house for nice cold beers and intellectual exchanges amongst friends, at least for the first cpl beers…This event also kicks off our inauguration into the Drink Like a Local community of bars, brewers, distributors, and drinkers though we have always been 100% Locally focused on our clientele. ”

The event starts at 5pm and will go early into the morning. It’s going to be a delicious night as we raise a glass to Fat Cats and Florida’s breweries.

DLAL Tap Takeover At Laser Wolf

Hopefully you know the guys at Laser Wolf in Fort Lauderdale. This hole in the wall craft beer bar is a Fort Lauderdale local favorite. Their motto “Yes Beer, No Jerks!”

When it comes to local craft beer they know what’s up. Tonight (3/18) they will be featuring all 5 of the Cigar City’s 5 Beers for 5 Years on tap with Phil from CCB there to share a snifter with you.

But this just leads us into a second night dedicated to Local Beer. Tomorrow, Wednesday 3/19, Laser Wolf will be hosting a DLAL Tap Takeover featuring brewers from around the state. If you live in South Florida this is an opportunity to try a handful of beers we don’t see down South very often. So what’s on the menu? Check it out:
